Frickin Sign Guys . . .

So this is apparently in England somewhere. This is the kind of thing that most sign guys or gals want to do but usually wuss out because really they don't want to piss anyone off in the overly PC (PC=political correct (yeah see I used an abbreviation so I didn't have to type the whole word, even though I typed a crap ton more for an explanation), not personal computer) world.

It's running . . . one more try?

So here is the first video of the SR running since IE isn't showing the "play video" on the first attempt. This one is better anyway. Actually I'll throw the other one in here. How about that, two videos in one post. Almost like Christmas or a birthday or Hanukkah or some other time when you get awesome stuff for doing nothing, except these two videos aren't really awesome but more like "yeah, that's cool" and then you put whatever it is on the shelf and kinda forget about it.

So I'll let you be the judge on which is better or worse or whatever. I think the first one is a little better since you can hear Buck and I talking but you can't understand any of it. Partly because of the loudness of 499cc's of fury and because this video was taken on my freakin phone. Don't expect this on Blu-Ray in full 7.1 uncompressed sound.

Back Home

Well I guess it was an exciting weekend. At least I know that the SR runs, so now when someone asks "Does it run yet?" I can finally just say "Excuse me while I whip this out (women gasping)" and show the vid on my phone. And its a good thing that it barely shakes, yeah . . right. Everything shakes on it, handlebars, exhaust, seat, front wheel. Definitely have to re-tighten every fastener. And it's pretty loud. The exhaust is the stock head pipe and a Paughco cocktail shaker with a little baffle in it. And both were hit with the Scotchbrite before installing them. I think the other chrome stuff is going to get the same Scotchbrite treatment since the exhaust and the cap for the gas tank ended up looking good. Make the gas tank pic bigger and you'll see what I mean. That dull brushed looked is looking good next to the charcoal metallic. Anywho, just a few more little things to finish (even though it will probably take a day or two yet) and it should be ready for the 100 mile trip home.

it runs!!j

Well, with the help from a little Waylan Jennings playing, the gas tank is painted. Now I just need to bury it under a full can of clear.

a new beginning

There is deeper meaning to the title than another window banner on Jeffs car. This is the first mobile blog entry (fingers crossed that this works). Ooo what an exciting time we live in.

New Phone

After seeing all the movers and shakers of the world with their hip Blackberry's and what not, I had to join 'em. But I went with the Palm Centro instead. Can you say touch screen? I knew you could. Obviously I'm still trying to figure this out but be aware (or beware), mobile blogging is in the future. Gotta love the "Simply Everything" plan.
